Astral
Tournament duel concepts.
In Astral Tournament
duel you fight the other mage (computer or other player) for control
of magical plane using creatures and other spells.
The creatures and
spells are of the following magical elements: Air, Fire, Water,
Earth and Death. Each mage starts the duel with 50 life points.
Each mage has five more numbers - they show his power in appropriate
magic element. These powers affect the spells the mage can cast
and the power of the spells also. (e.g. if your Fire power is
5 you can cast fire spells or summon fire creatures with level
5 or less). Each time you cast spell/summon creature with level
X your appropriate element power reduces by X. And each turn all
of your powers are increased by 1.
The object of the
duel is to defeat your opponent by reducing his life number from
50 to 0.
How
creatures attack.
Each player has 5
creature slots for summoning creatures. If all the slots are full
the player can't summon any more creatures - he can only cast
spells.
Each turn after the
player's spellcasting the creatures he controls attack the enemy.
Each creature attacks separately. If the creature slot opposite
the attacking creature is free it attacks player, otherwise it
attacks the creature in that very slot.
Each creature has
two stats: attack strength and life number. If the creature attacks
player/other creature that player's/creature's life is reduced
by the attack strength the attacking creature possesses. If the
creature's life is reduced to 0 that creature dies.
Tournament
rules.
When you play the
Tournament Game you participate in different tournaments in different
magic leagues. You begin the game in the Starting League. Winning
the first place in any league means that you gain access to the
next league, your rank increases, and you gain new abilities.
The object of the game is winning the first place in Major League
and gaining Archmage rank.
Each tournament consists
of 8 rounds, and in each round you have to face the other mage.
Each result will influence your final position. If you win the
tournament you will move to the next league.
At the beginning
of tournament game you choose your specialization. There are 6
available:
Necromancer -
specialization in Death magic;
BattleMage - specialization in
Fire magic;
Druid - specialization in Earth
magic;
ThunderMage - specialization Air
magic;
StormMage - specialization in Water
magic;
Wizard - balanced skill with all
elements.
